Our next stop from Rome was Salerno, a port city. We chose to stay in Salerno for a few days as a hub to Amalfi, which can be accessed by a ferry, and to Pompeii where there are direct train to the city.
On our first day in Salerno, we visited a pastry shop, Pasticceria Carmine Ingino for coffee and small bites before checking in to our accomodations.
It seems that this place is a spot where local Salerno residents get their cakes and pastries for special occasions.
Not much… just an espresso, some sweet donut knot and a mini pistachio cornetti.
