This was another something that was ordered but the buyer cancelled at the last minute. I was really fu,ing when it happened because this powder was pretty expensive. But I cannot do anything about it because the transaction was made through an online shopping platform. And the buyer cancelled before I shipped it. So whoopie…another unsold item.
But on the bright side, if it weren't for lousy buyers like that, I wouldn't be able to try great products such as this. So I guess it was all good.
This is the Mineral Ultrafine Pact #13 compact from Innisfree. It's a compact powder that boasts of "covering the skin lightly like silk." It also claims to have pore blurring effects and protects the skin with fine, natural mineral powder and green tea extract from Jeju. Or so the product description in their website says.
The powder is packaged just like any press powder: a round compact with a puff and mirror. The product comes in three shades and this shade, #13, is the lightest one. I was really doubtful about the shade. I didn'tthink it was the right one for me because it's so pale. But then again, I can easily use a bronzer to tan up.
Anyway, the shade was not as big as an issue as I thought it would. It oddly went well with my current complexion. I've been getting some IV drips for health reasons and one of the side effects was it lightened up my complexion a bit. So I guess my complexion lightened a bit for the powder to go well with it.
The powder felt really fine and well-milled. It was picked up easily by the accompanying puff and by a powder brush. When I applied it, it instantly gave my face a matte finish. I was really surprised at the immediate effect because aside from the matte finish, I looked so fresh! It was a "whoa" moment for me. I couldn't believe at how nice the powder was. It was also super long lasting. Most compacts would have an effect of around 2-3 hours. And then the oil will begin to show. But this one, it practically lasted the whole day. Well, I had to start using blotting paper by mid-afternoon but even then the oil I got was minimal. It was just amazing!
So yeah…I'm really grateful fir that buyer who cancelled. She missed out on such an amazing product. I've already hit pan on this powder. I've been searching the online shops for this because I'll be running out soon. But this is such a difficult product to find, not to mention expensive. I did see another Innisfree product that is similar to this one. I bought that one instead because this one is out of stock. I'll try to compare the two when it arrives.
