Chicken Is a Truth

2.0

from Seowon Chicken

at the Cabin

-Changchon, Seowon, Hoengseong, Gangwon, Republic of Korea-

solo

Solo trip to oversee a few renovations to the cabin.

Coming straight after work, I was too tired to cook.

But by the time I arrived in town, at around 2000, everything was closed, except for the chicken joint.

Seowon Chicken is a Korean restaurant.  Specializes in Korean-style fried chicken, and Korean-style pizza.

I got a takeout order of the basic fried chicken.

In case I've never mentioned it before, the traditional way to eat fried chicken in Korea - the plain kind - is to dip it in salt, often enhanced with black pepper, maybe MSG.  I am now just realizing how odd that must seem to non-Koreans.

The chicken was entirely unremarkable.  Which is too bad, as it's the only late night option available - last order at 2100 - within 8 km.
