Donkatsu or ramen? Why choose one when you can order both at Brown Donkatsu & Ramen. Originally known as Sonoya Ramen, they changed their name to the current one back in 2018. With an extensive menu for both katsu and ramen, this restaurant in the First Markham Place plaza is a great option to satisfy both cravings.
The cheese stick tonkatsu included pork cutlet filled with melted mozzarella cheese, served with rice, corn and 2 sauces (cranberry and house sauce). The katsu was very crispy and the cheese gave it a nice chewy texture. The sauce came on the side, but they also have an option with the sauce on the cutlet. The gyoza was average, stuffed with pork and veggies.
