Kim So Jeong takes a big leap to the stage of acting as she signed a contract with IOK Company.

The leader, main vocalist, and the visual of GFriend opens up a new chapter of her life as Kim So Jeong. The actress joins hands with IOK Company who manages both K-pop idols and actors. 

IOK Company announced, "So Won, who has been greatly loved as the leader of GFriend, will change her name to Kim So Jeong to take a new leap forward with IOK Company."

"We will provide full support to help Kim So Jeong, who has endless possibilities, develop her talent as an actor."

"I ask for a lot of support and attention for actor Kim So Jeong's move, which will be active in the future," they added. 

The actress overflows with talents, visuals, and charisma. Kim So Jeong proves her beauty as she won the 2019 Korea First Brand Awards.

In addition, she also showed her versatility in hosting MBC every1's Look at Me, which aired in 2018, and KBS Joy's Trend with Me in 2019. 

So Jeong starts her career when she debuted as a member of GFriend in 2015. Together with Yerin, Eunha, Yuju, SinB, and Umji, they released mini albums and sang Korean drama's ost. 

The group released a single titled "Wanna Be" for What's Wrong With Secretary Kim. Also, they produced a song, 'Cheers' for Just One Bite.

Despite the group's disbandment, Buddy still roots and supports every member as they venture their careers and path. 

Furthermore, with her career move, Kim So Jeong will be housed under the same agency as renowned actors Jo In Sung, Kim Ha Neul, Lee Sung Jae, and more.
