Our signature rich tonkotsu broth and handcrafted Japanese noodles served with a huge slice of Japanese braised pork belly then torched for added smoky flavor.

  • Store: Ramen Nagi
  • List Price: PHP900.00 which is good for 2 servings (why can't I find the single serving with side dishes anymore).

Let's take a quick look at this store's several To Go ramen dishes (apart from the first 2 I've reviewed before).

  • Serving: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Flavor: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The entire kit contains 2 braised pork belly, 1 pack of fire sauce, 1 pack of vegetables (green onions), 1 pack of kikurage, 1 pack of butao oil, 1 pack of garlic, 1 pack of nori (which contains 4 small pieces), 2 packs of thick noodles, and a large pack of broth.

This one is basically the Butao ramen with a large slice of a torched braised pork belly instead of the 2 slices of chashu found on their normal dishes. When compared against the Butao kit, the main differences are the pork belly, an extra oil packet, and the thick noodles used instead of the thin ones. The rest would be the same.

I'm not really a fan of thick noodles and I like my noodles thin and hard. The broth itself is the Butao broth so it's great and flavorful just like the ones served fresh. The pork belly is soft, tender, and flavorful and better than the normal pork belly served in their dishes (if you opt for it). Not sure though if the price difference between the regular and this one is worth it though. I need to taste it freshly made from the store :D.

Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ because I still prefer my noodles thin. Also, not splitting the broth for the two servings (at least put a divider in the packet) is borderline criminal for those who want to cook the other serving later 😀

I did get a chance to finally visit this store after more than a years worth of not going to the city. Too bad dine in is closed and I can only order to go versions of their dishes.
