My Thoughts

In the end times we will need Prophetic Watchman that will not slumber and will seek the Kingdom of God more than ever. I really liked the acronym of F.A.I..T.H. in this book, "Forsaking All I Take Him". Faith is not just a noun - it's an action word, and Faith without works is dead. The author wants us to look at ourselves and see if we are we just doing the works of a sleeping church, or are we doing the powerful works of God in heaven? We want faith to do the works of God for His glory. Jesus is coming soon, and we need to work to bring in the lost. "I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work". John 9:4. Jesus wants the church to get its light from Him as we seek His face, so we reflect His glory and lead the lost into His kingdom. Jesus recently showed me that He wants us to be like the sunflower, who seeks the suns face in the morning and continually throughout the day. He wants us to abide in Him (like the sunflower), and always be seeking His face and speaking to Him. We are to get to know His character and His voice so He can shepherd us and we will follow. He wants us to fear not, and be of GOOD CHEER, for we believe in Him and are doing the WORK of the God Almighty! He is alive today, and is moving among the people of the earth in the power of the Holy Spirit. He wants us to seek His face so we can walk in His power, and be the vessels to carry out His will on earth. Like the sunflower, when we are mature and grow in Him others will be able to eat from our fruit of our spiritual development. This is how the Lord uses us for His Kingdom - we put our Faith in Him by continually seeking His face (love the Lord with all your heart, soul, and mind) and yielding our will to the Holy Spirit. This is how we are used for His glory.

This book will bolden your Faith, as you learn to worship the Lord in Spirit (fire) and Truth (the Word of God) and we share His love with others. I loved all the stories in this book, and they left me reflecting on many of the "and it came to pass" moments in my life. I often find myself wondering if I'm out of the will of God because I can speak in tongues and have gotten then feeling that I may have the gift of prophecy. I've often kept many of these "and it came to pass" moments to myself because I've been told that God doesn't speak to us (unless in the Bible) and it's all in your imagination. I've also gotten the feeling that it's something to be ashamed of when you speak in tongues, and I've only told one person that I can do that (well until today). It's just something that isn't talked about in my circles. I've wrestled with God many a times thinking "man am I the only one who truly believes that you are alive and you speak to us TODAY! Why am I so different than everyone else?" The Lord really is my everything and has become my best friend, and lover of my soul. I can't do this life without Him. It was refreshing to read a book that had many of the same opinions as me, because I often feel like the Church is so divided now days. I find myself crying almost daily for the Lord to bring us into unity so that His glory can be seen. Everything seems so dark and cloudy, and it seems like everyone is walking around in a haze. The Christians seem to be the worst of the worst, and I don't feel like we are being very good sunflowers right now. Jesus told me that there are wild sunflowers that are really weeds that imitate the real things. They grow all over the place without a purpose, and don't face the sun. We want to be sunflowers in a field with one purpose and in unity - facing the sun & reflecting His glory (so we can share our seeds to the World)! This book definitely made me feel less crazy in all the things I've been feeling lately, and and confirmed so much of what the Lord has been speaking into my life the past few years. I loved that! I also enjoyed the chapter in which she spoke about preachers kids getting attacked and how we need to pray for them. I'm a G-PK, so could definitely understand those attacks. I think all of the church is under attack, and like the author I hope there is a divine explosion in the church so that people can see Jesus love and glory again. Revival starts with the Church first - and it is HERE NOW.

"You are the NOW God! Let our "and it came to pass" moments happen now in a way that brings You glory, so that everyone will know that God Almighty is still moving among the people of the earth in the power of the Holy Spirit"

I really enjoyed this book, and highly recommend it.

About the Author

Glenda Underwood Jackson is a powerful prophetess and healing evangelist. She moves in signs, wonders, and miracles to glorify Jesus. Since 1974, Glenda has been a missionary evangelist. Her primary ministry focus for over thirty years was Native Americans, ministering to many tribes throughout California, Nevada, and Arizona.

Glenda comes from a Church of God background. Her father, C. L. Underwood, was a healing evangelist who saw many great miracles in his services. Her great-aunt was Maria Woodworth-Etter (1844–1924), whom some considered to have had one of the most powerful evangelistic ministries of modern times.

On December 29, 2007, on her birthday, Glenda had a powerful angelic visitation from the Lord in which she was told that doors would open to her to major ministries throughout the United States. Since then, doors have swung wide open to her ministry. Glenda has ministered at several Fire conferences for evangelist Benny Hinn, at King Jesus International Ministry with Apostle Guillermo Maldonado, and at the World Convention of the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International. She has also appeared on Sid Roth's It's Supernatural! Glenda has ministered in numerous churches, conferences, and camp meetings in the United States, Europe, and Africa. Her ministry is marked by her accurate prophetic words. Glenda often says in her response to her ministry, "I'm nothing; it's all God."
