It's official y'all. The usual sales that have become tradition won't be happening this year. Honestly, I would've been surprised if there had been.
Over 2021 we saw many stores struggle to keep up demands of shoppers. Now at the end of the year, things aren't looking any better. People have been told to get their Christmas gifts early and lower your expectations. There are areas that aren't having any issues here in America right now. Those are mainly rural areas where people are sparsely located. They have a much deeper sense of community. When one family falls on hard times everyone rallies around them. This is the kind of community I grew up in. I miss it.
Back to reality, people are different now. And rather or not there will be a calm after Black Friday this year or not. Of course, we also have to consider whether stores like Walmart have everything in their toy catalog or not. This has the potential to be a disaster. I swear, if there's a bunch of heavyweight parents on these SeDu things used in water I am going to laugh so hard I might crack a rib.
Apparently Walmart and their competitors have missed the memo about over-promising products to their customers. I only hope they secured everything they are promising. Otherwise, there could be an all out bloodbath. Don't underestimate a parent's devotion to their children. While George Carlin might get a kick out of a certain level of chaos, I don't think he had the stomach for how bad this could be. Hell, I don't think most serial killers would be able to handle the level if violence which could breakout on Black Friday.
Y'all please, just order your gifts early from the net and forget about Black Friday sales.
