Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly segment that asks you to pick 5 books that fit that week's theme. It was created by Bionic Bookworm and is currently being hosted by Meeghan Reads. After my first foray was published on a Wednesday, I've decided to consider the 'Tuesday' part of the name to be more of a guideline than a rule.

One of my goals for 2022 is to finish as many part-read series as I can, so I've put some thought into this already. Looking through the longlist, I think these five are the ones I'm most excited to finish off:

  • The Green Bone Saga by Fonda Lee - A kung fu family drama but in book form. What's not the love?
  • Iconoclasts by Mike Shel - A great indie series blending horror elements with D&D stylings.
  • The Age of Madness by Joe Abercrombie - I love this trilogy, and I'm hoping it ends on a slightly less depressing note than the first one did.
  • Ash and Sand by Richard Nell - I loved book 1. It's bleak at times, but Nell's prose is perfect for me.
  • Empires of Dust by Anna Smith Spark - Spark's prose is enough to carry me through awful (in personality) characters and grim events.
  • Imperial Radch by Ann Leckie - I loved book 1, plus I need more sci-fi in my life.

I thought I'd keep this shorty, as I've set my thoughts out in slightly more detail in my earlier post.

Have a nice weekend!

Cheers,
Shannon
