Today's Bible Reading- 2 Chronicles Chapters 10-13.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. It's an early morning here. I finally rolled out of bed at 6:04 this morning. I'd been trying to get back to sleep for probably an hour or so. Gracie and my bladder wanted me up though.
Currently, it's 49°, but our high today promises to be a much more seasonable 75° with a 10% chance of rain. Air quality is good as well. It looks as if we'll have a lot of clouds today, according to the forecast graph.
Mom has to go in for routine bloodwork today, but it's the fasting one. Hence, the early wakeup. Gracie knows something is up. She is concerned. Concern turns to clingy. She is now super clingy, not with me, with Mom. It's hilarious.
I've started the process of getting my CWP, by the way. My class and test will be on May 10. Prayers are appreciated that I hit the marks.
I did move some wood chips yesterday, but found that the wood chip pile has fire ants inside. I've got a bite on my left arm, my right wrist and my right ankle. That was fun. (sarcasm)
Supper wasn't the best. The steak was good, and the potatoes were good, but I burnt the Brussel sprouts and messed up the steak sauce. When I was reading the recipe, I thought it said to toss the sprouts and the onions with the pan sauce. Nope. I was, apparently, reading two paragraphs at once. Oops.
So, today's goals. Mom. Lab work, breakfast, I think Mom wants to go out and look at birthday cards for peeps. After the lab, though, she may just want to come home and eat.
Oh! I found a Pilates class on Tubi yesterday and I did the first episode. It's an Australian lady with two co-hosts. The episodes are only 25 minutes long, so it's long enough to get something in. I went along with the first episode yesterday. It felt good. Brought back a lot of memories from the last Pilates I did. I'd like to continue it and see if it'll help me get back in shape.
Supper tonight is apricot chicken with rice. I hope I don't screw this one up.
That's all for now, folks. I have to shower and get ready for the day. I've had one cup of coffee from the machine I bought at Hobby Lobby. It reminds me of one of those hotel room coffee makers. It's single serve, which is nice, but unlike the Keurig, whatever amount of water you put in, that's how much coffee you'll get. There is no cup size selector. I made a small cup this morning and it was pretty good! Dark, strong and flavorful. I could use another, but the lab opens at 8:00 and it's a 30 minute drive there.
Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends.
PS: Until I get my CWP, I found a Mace keychain.
