Woomyeon Gwan is a Korean-Chinese restaurant. Offers the standard jjajang/jjambbong dishes, along with a handful of Cantonese-ish dim sum items and Taiwanese-ish beef noodle soup.

Located in the basement level of Starfield City Wirye, next door to Daiso.

The food was strictly mediocre. The dumplings, as the photo would suggest and tasting did confirm, were factory-made, frozen, steamed to order - i.e., not good. The noodles were overcooked, the meat was dry, and the broth was oily. Generally, I sensed that the chef and/or owner were local and had no idea about or experience with dishes from actual Chinese traditions.

Even worse, the service was terrible. Rather than filling a table's complete order, then moving on to the next table's order, the kitchen appeared to be preparing dishes in batches and sending them out together, such that the tables that had ordered fried rice would all get them at once, followed by a wave of sweet & sour pork plates, then jjajang myeon, then dumplings, then jjambbong, then at last beef noodle soup. When I asked the owner/manager why our order was taking so long, he shrugged and said he had no control over the kitchen. When I asked him for plain soy sauce - the dim sum was served with ginger soy sauce, which I don't like - he paused for a moment, frowned, went away and came back with a bottle of soy sauce, placed it on the table, walked away without a word, as if annoyed that I had requested something unreasonable. I predict the restaurant will fail within a year.
