Today's Bible Reading- Deuteronomy Chapters 6-9.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Today's forecast: 74°, cloudy, 80% chance of rain, good air quality, and a breeze blowing in from the southeast. Thunderstorms are expected later this afternoon.
From what I understand, we have the potential for some gnarly weather today! I have a meeting to attend this evening, and I'll be out right in the middle of all the action. Isn't that wonderful? (sarcasm)
In all seriousness, the weather may get pretty nasty, so I'll have to make sure I keep an eye out today. The particular spot where I live doesn't get a whole lot of crazy weather, but the areas surrounding my neighborhood do.
In other news, I still have no menu planned. I have a total mind block on what to make next week. I may end up going grocery shopping tomorrow if I can't come up with something by a decent hour today.
Also, I have a meeting to attend tonight. The officers for the county's Republican party have made an effort to get all the precincts in our county to get to know one another. Our county is one of the largest in the state, and most people focus on the wealthier parts. Where I'm at is one of the lower income parts of the county. Very rural. We're made up of primarily farmers, law enforcement and shift workers. The meeting tonight is for the county officers to try and get to know about 10-12 of the precincts in this area. All county precincts are invited, but the focus is on this area. As the precinct committeeman of my voting precinct, I definitely should be there.
I'm nervous because although the restaurant we're dining at is quite famous in the area, I've never been. It was always something deemed out of our family budget. I've seen the menu. The prices are affordable, but I'm not sure what I can order with my allergy issues. I'll probably end up with something that has gluten in it, which I'm not looking forward to. I'm also nervous about being around a bunch of people I don't know that well while I'm trying to eat. Public spaces aren't something I enjoy.
Anyhoo. I'll do what I can to try and not be so anxiety ridden today, but no promises. The meeting starts at 6:00, and the thunderstorms roll in around 5:00, so I'll be in the thick of things.
Besides gearing up for the meeting tonight, I have normal Friday things to deal with: ledgers, bank, grocery (if I can get a menu together), and Mom has a prescription that needs picked up.
That's all I have for now, folks. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends.
