[Pork-free] The White Forest Café 森森 is a new Japanese fusion café located in Scarletz Suites off Jalan Yap Kwan Seng.
This establishment is definitely one of the most eye-catching new cafes with its forest theme, and we liked how they embellish the space with actual white birch trunks and dried leaves on the floor.
White Forest Café offers decent weekday lunch sets
Aesthetics aside, The White Forest Café offers decent weekday lunch sets - which was the reason why we were here.
Chicken Katsu Don and Duck Ramen
Our Chicken Katsu Don cost RM25 for a reasonable portion and comes with soup and a drink (coffee, tea, or Italian soda).
The Duck Ramen (RM29) is made with handmade ramen served with smoky duck broth, duck breast, and seasonal vegetables.
We also shared a Salmon Tataki (RM24) - fillet Norwegian salmon served with micro herbs, avocado, and yuzu lemon dressing.
Summary
Although not mind-blowing, the food was beautifully presented and tasted decent. Overall, this is a good spot if you're looking for a quiet weekday lunch spot in the area.
