Those who coves the combined flavor of garlic and butter, it is the recipe for them. Strong garlicky flavor with the richness of butter when infused with the crispy juicy chicken, it is heaven! I prefer to serve this as starter but it goes equally well with noodles and / or rice. This recipe needs not much preparation or ingredients, try this recipe during this monsoon, I am sure you are going to love it!
Ingredients:
- Boneless Chicken – 500 gms
- Lemon Juice – 2 tsp
- Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
- Garlic – 3 Tbsp (Finely chopped)
- Cornflour – 5-6 Tbsp + 1 tsp
- Eggs – 2 nos
- Black Pepper Powder – 2 tsp
- Salt – To taste
- Butter – 3-4 Tbsp
- Chopped Coriander – A handful
- Chopped Green Chilli – 2 tsp
- Oil – A required for frying the chicken pieces
Steps:
- Cut the chicken in small cubes. Now marinate the chicken pieces with lemon juice and half tsp salt. Cover and keep aside for 1 hour. After 1 hour wash the chicken pieces and drain out the water. This process helps the chicken to be tender and moist.
- In a big mixing bowl, crack two eggs. Beat them well adding salt and pepper. Now add in garlic paste and cornflour. Make smooth slurry.
- Put in the chicken pieces. Coat them well and keep aside for one more hour.
- After one hour, mix the marinated chicken one more time. If required add more cornflour. Because we do not want a runny texture of the marinate, rather it should coat the chicken pieces well.
- Heat sufficient oil in a wok / frying pan. Take one marinated chicken piece and release in the hot oil. Carefully place other chicken pieces too but do not overcrowd. Fry until they turn light brown and crisp from outside. Take out on an absorbent paper.
- Take another pan and heat 3 Tbsp butter. Add couple of teaspoon oil from the fried chicken too. Add chopped garlic in the pan and fry on low heat till the raw smell goes off.
- Add chopped green chilli and fried chicken pieces. Make a slurry adding some water and 1 tsp cornflour. Add it into the pan and toss quickly. Check seasoning by adding salt and black pepper powder.
- Add 1 Tbsp butter and chopped coriander. Serve hot with Egg Friedrice or Veg Friedrice or noodles.
