Today Crazy Debbie managed to acquire enough salmon to make Salad Fingers fish fingers.
What you need:
- 6x Salmon fillets
- Lime juice
- Plain flour
- Dark soy sauce
- Light soy sauce
- Tomato paste
- Breadcrumbs
- 1x head of garlic
- White pepper
- Ground coriander
- Chilli flakes
- Sumac
- Smoked paprika
- Parsley
- Oregano
- Thyme
- Tarragon
- Marjoram
- Basil
Start by peeling and chopping the garlic then Ramsay Bolton the Salmon fillets. Chop roughly then add to a bowl with the garlic. Grab a tablespoon and add:
- 3 tablespoons of tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons of light soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons of dark soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of lime juice
With the aid of a potato masher...
Mash the Salmon until it's soft and pliable but not to the point of paste. Grab a handful of breadcrumbs for binding, as well as flour then get ready to add the herbs and spices.
Add to a bowl:
- A sprinkle of white pepper
- A moderate amount of ground coriander
- A sprinkle of chilli flakes
- A moderate amount of Sumac
- A moderate amount of parsley
- A fuckload of oregano
- A moderate amount of thyme
- A sprinkle of Tarragon
- A sprinkle of Marjoram
- A sprinkle of Basil
- A moderate amount of smoked paprika
Mix until it's one uniform colour then set aside.
Take your salmon and (attempt) to shape it into fish finger shapes. Drizzle in your spice mix then set up a bowl for a dry batter. Whatever is left of the spice mix, add to the bowl with the flour.
Make the motherload of messes with the flour, adding breadcrumbs and herbs/spices. Heat up some oil, enough to cover the fish fingers dependant on the size of pan being used.
Coat the fish fingers in the flour mixture and wait. As Mr Skywalker so nicely warned you, keeping the salmon in a finger shape is all kinds of fun and games. Use the flour as extra binding.
Ask the Jedi Masters for guidance...
And carefully slide into your DMs the salmon into the pan. Fry on one side till golden then put under the grill for 10min to drain excess oil. Plate and serve.
