Hi friends, welcome back! I've been busy decking the halls, and today I'm sharing my parents holiday home tour. I've been decorating their home for years and it's something I look forward to every year. I like to make it look the same each year and have become very efficient. I start with the Santas and stockings in the family room.

I then move to the kitchen

The snowmen make doing the dishes more enjoyable.

Good things come to those who Believe. (picture borrowed from a prior year)

One of my favorite decorations and the trickiest to put up is the garland on the stairs. This year I wore gloves and didn't have any casualties from the pine needles.

My dad decorates the tree in the living room, this is the "fancy" tree. He does a good job!

The garland over the family room always makes me nervous because two years ago the peppermint fell and almost knocked out Jon.

I always leave the tree for last, it's my least favorite part of decorating. I believe this tree is 12 feet tall and I have to put chairs around it so I can reach near the top.

I'll conclude this post with a few pictures from Thanksgiving. We spent the holiday in Michigan this year with my parents, sister, grandma, and Great Aunt Shirley. In typical Thanksgiving fashion, the Lions disappointed us, but the food sure didn't. I crafted a charcuterie board for appetizers although I made the mistake of cutting the gruyere and white cheddar the same, so it was a bit of a choose your own adventure.

If I knew how to photoshop I would be in this picture. We had the usual thanksgiving dinner of turkey, stuffing, salad, mashed potatoes, rolls, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, and gravy. Somehow, we all found room for apple and pumpkin pie.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you enjoyed the tour!
