Today's Bible Reading- Revelation Chapters 14-18.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Here's our forecast for today: 46°, sunny with a few clouds, 10% chance of rain, good air quality, winds from the west southwest at 11 miles per hour, and humidity is sitting at 82%.
Are you ready for 2024? It's going to be one wild ride, let me tell ya. Mom and I were talking about it yesterday. I want to focus on my health this coming year, and Lord willing, I'd like to have a really nice garden.
Speaking of gardens, we have several cucumber flowers! One is in full bloom, and the others are getting ready to bloom. The lemon tree that's full of buds is about to go into full blossom. The peas are so happy, but no flowers yet. I'm wondering if that cold snap when they were bit killed off the potential for fruit. I don't know, but they sure are happy.
Gracie is super happy right now. She's stretched out on the bed, head turned upside down, eyes closed, settling in for her morning sleep. She was full throttle last night, let me tell ya. She was running around the house, playing with her mice toys. I had three in my room. One is stuck between a storage tote and the bookcase--that's the one she goose honked me out of bed for-- I have no idea where the others are. I tossed one to her last night because she couldn't get that one unstuck. I'll get it out today. She was doing laps around my bed last night, too. She was having a grand old time.
Supper last night was a hit. Everyone enjoyed it. It wasn't overly greasy. A bit heavy on garlic, but that's okay. Garlic is good for you. Mom and I put some spicy garlic chili sauce on our bowls, and Pop put Ponzu sauce on his. Dessert was the last of the apple pie from Christmas and vanilla ice cream.
Supper tonight will be a BBQ Beef skillet pot pie thing. I don't remember fully what the name of the dish is. It's another gem from Taste of Home. Mom got me several little booklets of theirs for Christmas.
Today's agenda: ledgers, and I have no idea what else. I may work on Mom's sweater. Progress is going halfway decent on it. I'd love to get some yarn and make myself a sweater. Mom's first, though. The piece I'm doing right now is for the back. Once it's finished, I think it's going to look really nice. I also think I'll be able to put some pockets on there for her, too. She likes the texture of the pattern as well, so that's a plus. There are four rows to make the pattern. If you're interested, click here to see what I'm making. It's a free download, too. Another plus.
That's about all I have for now, peeps. I need to shower and get dressed. By the time I finish, I'll have to go turn the heater off in the greenhouse. There's enough supper left over from last night that I can have for lunch. I may even be able to share with Mom. I also need to pull the ground beef out of the freezer to thaw. A lot to do. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
