To commemorate their 15th anniversary, the restaurant is offering a 10-course omakase, plus unlimited refills on shoju and/or highballs. Only 70,000 won per person, a steal (for me, given the bottomless booze) even if the food were crap.
Can't believe nearly 18 months have passed since my last visit (see most recently 13.141 Chohoe).
MtG, who's been a regular since the beginning, invited me to join him - his treat! In the 40 years that we've been friends (albeit with a 17-year gap), I don't recall if he's ever bought me dinner, certainly never anything so pricy.

The food was amazing. Every dish was thoughtfully conceived, expertly crafted. On a very technical point, I was impressed by how different parts of the scallion, which taste different, were used to garnish different dishes. Best meal that I've had in recent memory.
The nature of the set made it a kaiseki, though any kind of Japanese table d'hôte is called "omakase" in Korea these days (see generally 11.305 Tora Omakase (Actually Kaiseki)).
