Okay, here we have another lovely little frog game. It's from small indie team Sokpop Collective in Utrecht, Netherlands.
It's four young guys running the studio and they're dubbed themselves a, "video game boy band from the future."
They specialise in these diddy, minimalistic titles. With basic point-and-click fun the whole focus of the cutesy and lovely Frog's Adventure. 🐸
When an Amphibian Gets a Brain You Get Frog's Adventure
This one is about a wee froggy who gets a more advanced brain from a mischievous fairy. With access to the brain, the frog can head off on a super cool adventure!
With its brain, the frog decides this isn't the life for it! Instead, the frog desires to be like all the other frogs.
Frog goes chasing after the fairy to get turned back to normal.
That's the plot! And this is a super diddy game, you can wrap it all about in under an hour. We guess it's more for the younger gamer, too, but those hand-drawn graphics have an alluring charm about them.
Frankly, we do wish there were more frog-based games out there. Although the excellent and amusing Frog Detective is probably the industry leader.
But Frog's Adventure is cute and innocuous fun.
Yes, it's a bare bones kind of game. You get three unique abilities to unlock, there are a batch of quirky characters to meet, and there are over 20 items to find, too.
As with most point-and-click games you wander around, gather items, and explore your world. For what it is, we had a good time with the game. It doesn't push you too hard, it's cheap, relaxing, and you get to control a frog.
Charm offensive complete, it'll leave your life making you more aware of just how awesome frogs are. Remember that point. They're cool dudes.
You can find it on Steam and Itch.io where it costs a few quid. Ribbit.
