ホテルにチェックインしたのが3時ごろ。荷物を置いて、早速出かけたのは、アップルショップ（笑）。わたしのiPodがダメになってしまったので、iPodを買いに。そして、その後、少し歩くことにして、ゴシック・クォーターの方に行ってみようか、ということでバルセロナ・カテドラルまで歩きました。イースター休暇の土曜日とあって、かなりな人手でした。
After checking in the hotel, which was around 3:00pm, we went out to an Apple Shop because something went wrong with my iPod. We bought a pair there, then we decided to walk to Gothic Quarter. We got to Barcelona Cathedral, where was quite a large crowd because it is a Saturday of Easter Holiday.
カテドラルの前のベンチに休憩を兼ねてしばらく座って雰囲気を楽しみましたが、また夕方出かけなくてはいけなかったので遠出はせずに引き返すことにしました。帰る途中のカフェで夫はアイリッシュコーヒー、わたしはアールグレーティーを飲みながらピープルウォッチングを楽しんだ後、ホテルまで歩いて帰りました。
We soaked up the atmosphere sitting on a bench in front of the cathedral for a little while, then decided to go back to the hotel rather than going for a longer walk because we were going to take a private food tour in the eveing and didn't want to run outof time. On our way back to the hotel, we sat at a cafe - my husband had Irish Coffee and I had Earl Grey Tea - and enjoyed people watching.
空港でも結構歩きますし、今日はこの後夕方申し込んでいた個人のフードツアーでも歩いたので、16000歩強歩きました。バルセロナは田舎に住むわたしたちにとっては大都市ですが、歩いて回れる大きさなのが良いなと思います。フードツアーもとても楽しかったので早くご報告したいのですが、明日の朝も早いので、今日かこれで。良い一日でした！
You tend to walk quite a lot at airports and we also had the food tour in the evening so we did walk quite a lot today, I walked a little more than 16,000 steps. As we live in a countryside, Balcerona seems like a big city, but it's small enough to be able to walk to most places, which is great. The food tour we took was great and would like to write about it as soon as possible, but we have to get up early tomorrow again so not tonight. We had a great day today.
