Saturday Morning Thoughts

March 2

Today's Bible Reading- Deuteronomy Chapters 9-11.
March's Memory Verse- John 14:6.

Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 63°, mostly cloudy with some sunshine, 10% chance of rain, winds from the east northeast at 7 miles per hour, and humidity is sitting at 98%.

Yesterday was quite the gullywasher! It rained all day. It was cold, we still have little portions of standing water around the yard. Not a day fit for man nor beast! That being said, I didn't get much done. It wasn't a day to go outside. At all. I had to go out once because I needed to check the greenhouse. It was way too cold to stay outside, though.

Looks like the neighbor's house has sold! Um, I'm not gonna lie. I'm nervous about a new neighbor. Who are they? Where are they from? What will they be like? I'm just super nervous about it.

Supper last night was pretty good. I made another plate of grapes, mandarins, banana and celery. I made some sausage links, some scrambled eggs with cheese, and some pancakes. We have enough left for a person to enjoy for breakfast. I may do that if no one else gets to it.

Today, I'll be pulling out the meat to thaw for gumbo tomorrow. I have some chicken and some andouille sausage. Just a little bit of sausage. Didn't want to get too much. I'll probably go ahead and chop up the celery and onion. Try to get as much prep done as I can so I can focus on rest tomorrow. It takes a couple of hours at least to cook through, so I'll start it early tomorrow. Or. I just had a thought. Pull the meat out, thaw it, get it started, and then put it in the slow cooker overnight. Then, all I have to make tomorrow is the rice. I'm tempted to do that. Less dishes to worry about, for sure. We'll see.

I do want to get some work done on Mom's sweater. At this rate, it might be done by Mother's Day. On the bright side, she's always cold, so she can wear it anytime.

Other things I could do today are cleaning the indoor garden and start new seeds. I'm thinking some cilantro and other herbs. Parsley, if I have it. Oo. I could see if the garden center has seeds yet. Mm. I don't know if I want to go out today, though. I'm not feeling very social.

That's about all I have for today, peeps. It's just a cozy day today. I'm going to get around, get dressed and find something to do today. Even if it's just knitting, I need to get something done to make up for yesterday. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
