ヴァイキングクルーズでは、毎日、ウィンター・ガーデンというラウンジで午後4時からアフタヌーンティーのサービスがあります。そんな時間に普通にアフタヌーンティーを頂くと夕食がいただけなくなるので、1人分だけとお願いしましたが、サンドイッチを半量にしますね、ということだったので一番上の段のケーキは2人分なのだと思います。スコーンは別の方が焼きたてを持って回られるので、好きなだけいただけるようです。わたしはレーズンが入っていないプレインなもの、夫はレーズン入りをいただきました。サンドイッチの中身もケーキも度々変わるようです、今日はキュウリ、ターキーハム、ツナ、ブリー（チーズ）の4種類でした。わたしはキュウリのとターキーハムのとをいただきましたが、どちらもとても美味しかったです。サンドイッチもなぜ？と思うほど美味しくないものもイギリスでたくさん食べましたが、ここでは美味しくてホッとしました。あまりにも度々美味しくないものに出会うと、わたしが変なのかと思わせられますが、こうして続けて美味しいと思えると、やっぱりわたしが変なわけじゃないんだ、と思えます（笑）。
On Viking Ocean Cruise, they serve Afternoon Tea at a lounge called Winter Garden every day. If we have the whole thing we wouldn't be able to have dinner and we didn't want to waste a lot so we asked the staff to give us just for one person and she told us she would halve the sandwiches. I guess the cakes on the top tier are for usual 2 persons. Scones are served later separately by someone else, who brings them fresh from the oven, I had a plain one and my husband had the one with raisins. The sandwiches change often if not every day and we had Cucumber, Turkey Ham, Tuna & Brie. I had Cucumber and Turkey Ham, both very tasty. I've had so many sandwiches that I didn't enjoy - often no taste because there is no seasoning, sometimes too salty because there is too much of something salty etc - in England but these were very enjoyable, which was great. Because I get so much food that is tasteless or what doens't taste nice to me, I often wonder if it was me, who has totally different taste. When I can enjoy food like this I feel, "phew, it wasn't me!"
