義弟夫婦にもらった薔薇は、ヴァネッサ・ベルというデイビッド・オースティンの薔薇なのですが、咲き始めるとあっという間にどんどん開いてしまっていて、あ〜、もう少しゆっくり開いて〜と言いたくなります。そして、大きなお花なので夜の間に降った雨と結構強く吹いている風で枝が撓ってしまい折れてしまったものもあったので、多分１日くらいしか保たないと思いますが切って花瓶に入れました。良い香りもしています。今日は午後からお天気が良くなる予報だったと思いますが、一時期少し太陽が出たものの全般的に曇っています。風も強いので、外は結構寒く感じます。
The roses my husband's brother and his wife gave us are called Vanessa Bell (David Austin), many of them are now fully open and some stems were totally bent and one of them was bent so much that it was below the top of the pot so I cut them and put them in a vase. As they are already fully open they probably won't last much, but they are looking and smelling lovely. I wish they opened more slowly, they seem to open so fast at the moment. I thought it was forecasted to be sunny in the afternoon but it's been quite grey although now and again we saw the sun. It's pretty windy as well so it felt quite chilly outside.
