Chilli Con Carne Pizza Toast

ランチはほとんど変わり映えしないので滅多にアップしませんが、たまに食べるチリコンカーニトースト。ほんのちょっとチリ・コンカーニが余ったときにします。厚めにスライスしたトーストの上にチリ・コンカーニ、玉ねぎ、チーズをのせて焼いて、グリーン・タバスコをポトポト。本当はチーズに焦げ目がつくまで焼きたいところなのですが、その前にパンが焦げちゃうのです。

Our lunch at home is so boring, we tend to have same things so I don't usually blog it, but now and again we have this "Chilli Con Carne Pizza Toast" when there is only a little Chilli Con Carne is left.  We slice bread thicker than usual, toast it then put Chilli Con Carne, onion and cheese, then put it in the oven toaster.  I would like the cheese to get a little more brown but the bead starts to get burnt before that, so this is how it tends to be.  A few drops of green tabasco on top.  It's really tasty and quite satisfying lunch.

 

ちなみに、パンはホームベーカリー(ビストロ)で焼いた「サンドイッチ用パン」。ブログにはアップしていませんが、色々なレシピで焼いていて(全てホームベーカリー任せのもの)、それぞれに特徴的で、それぞれに美味しいです。お気に入りは「ハードトースト」なのですが、ふんわり柔らかいものもたまに食べると美味しいですし、ブリオッシュも美味しかったです。

The bread we used was "Sandwich Bread" that I baked using the Japanese bread machine (Bistro).  I haven't blogged them much but I have tried quite a few different recipes, each recipe bakes quite different bread and they have all been delicious.  Our favourite so far is probably "Hard Toast" bread but soft ones are also very enjoyable  and Brioche was very nice, too.
