Today's Bible Reading- Psalms Chapters 11-19.
June's Memory Verse- Proverbs 3:9-10.
Good morning, my friends. So begins another week of hot weather. If this continues, we may want to change to being called Mordor instead of the South. Our forecast for today: 95°, partly cloudy, 20% chance of rain, winds from the west at 5 miles per hour, and humidity is sitting at 71%.
Saturday was pretty hot. Hot enough to warrant not getting much done. I did get the groceries in. I did get the garden watered. This heat is really taxing the plants, though. I don't know how much they can stand.
Mom has an appointment today. We have to leave at 9:00. It's 7:41 right now. Also, I need to return something I bought at the store on Saturday. Moldy applesauce. Yuck. I also need to get my bum in gear about Gracie. The food is slowly going down in her bag and I have yet to get a vet appointment for her.
Anyhoo. I may work on that today. Dinner yesterday was pretty tasty. I took some sirloin tips, put them on skewers, seasoned them with Jamaican Jerk seasoning, and grilled them. I also grilled a zucchini. For the side I made yellow rice with black beans and I had ice cold watermelon and cantaloupe.
Today, supper will be grilled chicken, Waldorf salad and I have toast written down. A lot of grilling being done this week. Especially with the heat. Whew! Praise the Lord for a/c units.
In other news, the governor of Tennessee has issued a proclamation for the month of July. He's declared that the entire month of July will be a month of fasting and praying for Tennessee and the nation. If you want to join in and pray for your state and the nation, go ahead. I've already been praying for the nation, but I'll start focusing on my state. Only the Lord can save us. We are in deep waters right now. I think people are starting to realize that.
That's all I have for now, peeps. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
