I hope you're a Ramen lover! I eat Ramen all the time. I love this stuff. I don't care if it's hot outside. I'm gonna have Ramen no matter what. It's so simple and delicious, and with so many varieties, there sure is one for everybody. Well, you already know that in New York City is a seemingly endless amount of Ramen spots, so I feel inclined to tell you of some of my favorite bowls of happiness here in the Big Apple. Please also read my prior blogs about NYC Ramen, as this one is sort of a continuation, NYC Ramen and NYC Ramen, plus Righteous Ramen. Please keep in mind that some of the restaurants that are mentioned in my earlier blogs may have closed their doors by now, so always double check.

Tonchin

Ok. I'm a little bit of a snob. Usually when I see a restaurant has several locations, I usually pick something else. I call it the chain restaurant syndrome. It's 100% unjustified. I'm just being a snob for no apparent reason. Long story short, I waited way too long to give Tonchin a try. What a travesty. It literally was so amazing, I so mad at myself for skipping this place! I had the Classic Tokyo Tonkotsu Ramen with roasted chashu pork, egg, scallion, menma and seaweed. Absolutely delicious.

Tsuta

Tsuta also has several locations all over the globe. Now that I'm no longer a snob, and I saw that one of their locations (Singapore) also dons a Michelin Star, I got on our beloved subway, and trekked to visit their location in Dumbo, Brooklyn. I went early enough to catch their lunch special ($28 for 3 courses, an absolute steal). My choice of Ramen that afternoon was Truffle Shoyu Soba with leeks, Mitsuba, baboo shootKkrobuta Chashu in a soup base. I was outstanding. So worth the dang subway ride.

Totto Ramen

So. turns out: Totto Ramen has two locations. My whole selective thinking has been officially been disproven. I actually ordered from their Hell's Kitchen location for lunch. I have been hearing that their Paitan Ramen is very good, and being that this is my all time favorite, of course I went for it. Yeah, the rumor is correct! It's light and creamy, falavorful. I ordered it with chicken with chicken broth, Julienned scallions, garlic, Nori, beans sprouts and spicy sesame oil, and it was fantastic. I highly recommend it.
