Today's Bible Reading- Ezra Chapter 10 and Nehemiah Chapters 1-2.
June's Memory Verse- Proverbs 3:9-10.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 84°, partly cloudy, 50% chance of rain, winds from the west southwest at 10 miles per hour, and humidity is sitting at 91%.
It's a humid and stuffy day out there! The sun is shining for now, but I think we'll probably get a rainstorm today. Thank the Lord the garden is getting watered. The pollen is gnarly today, though, so my face is puffy and my nose is all stuffy.
I ventured out to the garden yesterday. Only for a little bit because the two dogs that live behind us have figured out how to get into our backyard and they came through the fence while I was out there. I didn't stick around to see if they were friendly. Kind of sucks that I can't enjoy my own back yard. You know? I was nervous the new neighbor's dogs would come over and jump the fence and attack me, and now I have the other neighbor's dogs coming in my yard. I did find out that I have three melons growing. A baby zucchini is growing, and some of the tomato plants have bloomed. That's about all I found out before the dogs came in the picture.
I did get Gracie's fountain clean yesterday. I also organized the boxes that need taken to the dump. It started raining when I started the grill for hamburgers yesterday, but I still grilled them. They were delicious. Mm. I truly enjoy a good burger.
Today will be paying some bills, getting the boxes out, cleaning the litter box, and we need a restock of cleaning supplies. I also need to get the menu together for next week. Looks like some hot days ahead, so I'll need to have cold dishes or grilled dishes. We don't need to heat the kitchen up a whole heap.
We could do some pressure cooker recipes, too. That won't heat the kitchen up. I'm thinking sloppy joes one night maybe. With cold melon on the side. Nice summery dish there.
That's about all I have for today, peeps. I have plenty to do today. Some I can do in the cool of my room. Others I'll have to get in my hot car for. Someday, I'll have the couple thousand dollars I need to have my compressor fixed. Then I'll have cold a/c in the summer and heat in the winter. For now, though, windows rolled down will do.
Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
