Went to Sanook Kitchen at Jurong Point Basement 1 for dinner with my family.
The reason I don't really like sitting at basement 1 restaurant areas is because I do not like that there's open space above us. There's always a danger of people throwing things down or some dirty water flicked down. I'd seen it happen before. Also, I frequently find these areas rather warm for me. I usually needed to use my portable fan to cool me down.
This dish of prawn steamed egg was nice. Tasted quite delicious and we enjoyed it. (4.6/5)
The Tom Yum soup was alright, not as spicy or sour as most others but was still fine. (4/5)
We also got the lime steamed fish. The fish was ok tasting though I might have preferred other flavours as this wasn't to my taste/ preference. (3.5/5)
The popiah was ok but also not to my taste. I actually prefer OCK's popiahs. It's mainly due to the taste of the fillings. (4/5)
The pineapple fried rice was nice and tasty. I liked the taste and the way it was cooked. (4.5/5)
Wasn't a fan of this chicken dish as it was a bit dry and tough so I'd give this a miss. (3/5)
In all, I'd be back at Sanook Kitchen as their affordability and some of the good tasting dishes are worth going for.
