The pompom is made from that yarn and some handspun from Two Guys Yarn (as requested by Elliot). This is an example of giving my kids creative freedom to pick how they want their knits to look and then trying to convince them that they really want them to look how I want them to look and then losing that battle. Elliot loves the mix of sport weight and super bulky yarn in the pompom. That is what matters. I've been trying to knit more with my handspun. It helps me learn what I would like to change in my spinning. For example, I should add a little more twist when plying. I will now weigh the leftovers to see if it is enough yarn to keep for another project or if I can knit it up into my handspun scrap blanket. I don't have the attention span for big projects at the moment, so my sweaters are in untouched project bags stashed away for my large project mojo to return. I'll probably cast on a new hat or a pair of socks next. What have you been knitting? | | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
