Today's Bible Reading- Psalms Chapters 120-137.
July's Memory Verse- Proverbs 3:11-12.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 92°, mostly sunny, 10% chance of rain, winds from the west southwest at 13 miles per hour, and humidity is sitting at 82%.
How are you today? I'm a bit sore. My incision areas are sore. I think I've gone and lifted some things that were too heavy and strained some muscles. I had an ice pack on last night.
I did my laundry yesterday. Have a load in the dryer that needs fluffing, but I have an unexpected load to do today. Gracie projectile puked a hairball all over my bed, some of my clean clothes, and my feet last night. What a way to be getting ready for be, yeah?
The coffee maker. Well, we've decided to order a new basket and see if that keeps things together until we can figure out which coffee maker we want. Pop seems to be leaning towards something that grinds beans but is single serve so we don't waste coffee. I'm just a simpleton. Just plop the grounds in and let it brew. Mom is fine with a simple drip maker as well. We'll have to come to some sort of compromise here, which means it'll be leaning more towards what Pop wants.
I made fajitas last night for supper. They turned out pretty decent! Not over seasoned, which I have a tendency to do with fajita seasoning. Tonight will be a new recipe. A slow cooker recipe. I'll be making something called pork picadillo. It's served in lettuce wraps. I got it from a little Taste of Home booklet that Mom got me. It doesn't sound bad.
Today, I'll be working on ledgers, that extra load of laundry, putting the pork in the slow cooker, and getting Gracie's litter box cleaned. We had heat advisory yesterday, and as far as I can tell, the heat index did get to around 106°. Not sure if we'll get another heat advisory today, but wouldn't be surprised. It was still in the 80s at 11:00 last night.
That's all I have for now, peeps. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
