Today's Bible Reading- Isaiah Chapters 28-31.
July's Memory Verse- Proverbs 3:11-12.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 91°, partly cloudy, 40% chance of rain this afternoon, winds from the west at 7 miles per hour, and humidity is sitting at 89%.
Hot and humid is the theme today. I've had several messages from my weather app that there's potential for some severe weather in the next 24 hours. Probably because we've had a small break from the heat, but it's roaring back tomorrow. Thursday and Friday will be near triple digits. I've thought about mowing the yard, but it's already pretty warm out. I may have to do it tomorrow evening.
Today, I'll be taking care of something for Mom, hopefully working on laundry, feeding fish, cats, breaking down boxes for the burn pile, sweeping my room, and maybe working on a project. I will need to get another skein of yarn for Mom's sweater, so I'm thinking about going out today and getting it. I think one skein will do it. More than, actually.
Supper last night was decent. I'd decided to make pozole last week because the weather report had said it would be cooler and rainy. I thought soup would be a great idea. Nope. We had very little rain yesterday and it was about 86°.
Mom had her appointments yesterday. She had two. I thought it was only one. Her blood is still too thin, so she's off of blood thinner last night and tonight. Thursday will be another trip to the lab.
Supper tonight will be chicken with yellow rice and black beans. I may season the chicken with fajita seasoning this time. I noticed that the humidity is getting to my adobo seasoning. It's more like wet sand now in consistency.
Either way, I have plenty I can do today. I'd like to have another cup of coffee, but I'm not sure there's enough left. *sigh*. Maybe a glass of milk will help.
That's all for now, peeps. I need to get around and get my day going. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
