Okay, first things first.
I'm still here. I closed my personal chef business in 2023 and went back to work full-time in the real world, forty hours per week. But, I am still vegan, still cooking (when I can) and still on the hunt for delicious eats made by others, since I just don't have much time for the kitchen these days.
I happened to pass through Orlando last month attending a conference for work. You'd better believe I took the opportunity to visit Valhalla Bakery, sharing space with Dharma Southern Chickn (also vegan).
I wish I had taken more photos, especially the bakery case inside. Anything and everything you can imagine is in there. Cookies, cakes, pastries. Beautifully presented and everything I tried was absolutely delicious. And I am a tough critic.
While I was there, I bought lunch next door: a buffalo chikn sandwich with creamy Mac n cheeze. I was really hungry and fatigued after that conference--sitting through hours of seminars. My little vegan eats adventure was the perfect reward.
I still plan to carry on with my blog when I can, so I will be checking in and out, maybe posting recipes or cookbook reviews here and there.
It feels good to be back 🙂
