I am happy to share that being a Singaporean has been a year. I have achieved the biggest milestone in my life which I will share later in this post. Also, this year marks the 10th anniversary of living in Singapore. Many things happened throughout these ten years, and I am glad that I went through this path and I decided to settle down in Singapore for the long term. I am unsure how long but as long as I am actively working, Singapore is the place that gives me all the opportunities that I want.
Biggest milestone
I purchased a resale HDB flat earlier this year and recently moved in after a seven-week renovation. For privacy reasons, I will not be disclosing the location or details of my new home.
The flat was financed with my CPF funds and a grant from the Singapore government. The monthly loan repayments are also made through my CPF. Therefore, I need to remain healthy, strong, and capable to continue working until retirement.
Owning my own home, as part of God's plan, is a daily blessing that I truly appreciate. I love several aspects of the house, and it has been designed and decorated according to my vision. There are still many improvements to be made to achieve a perfect finish.
The second milestone of the year
This may seem like a small milestone, but it will greatly influence my upcoming year. I have secured a position with a different agency, and the salary is quite favourable. My colleague shares that it is a permanent role under this agency and even if our contract with the project team ends, the agency will assist us to secure another job beforehand. Sound good!
Throughout my job search, I remained focused on the belief that God is my provider and that this opportunity is part of His plan for me (Jeremiah 29.11). Even though I am handling similar tasks as before, the current situation is an improvement, and I finally feel that I'm receiving what I truly deserve.
Next milestone
I am looking for a life partner, a person with Godly characteristics and someone that God wants to understand, care for, live and love me for the rest of my life. Of course, I am the person that God wants me to understand, care for, live and love him for the rest of our lives. I pray for my love life restoration and reconciliation. I pray for God's guidance to complete me as a person and to complete my partner as the person God wants him to be.
The only doubt that I have right now is the person that I liked is a non-believer and now we are living in different locations. It is God who can help.
The year of the upper room prayer's wishes
Lastly, the other milestone that I want to achieve is being healthy and my health condition gets better and better, eventually, I do not need to revisit the hospital for ultrasound scans every half a year. The recent scan showed that it has a small growth and it is benign. It would not affect my current health. I want it to be completely removed from my body in Jesus' name.
Yes, house, career, finances, health and my love life restoration and reconciliation are the items that I put in my prayer request earlier this year. I believe I will be able to achieve them all together with God's help. Amen.
To celebrate and give thanks to God
On the 1st of August, I went to get a yakitori don from Don Don Donki for my dinner and a dessert from Chateraise. It was quite late and Don Don Donki was having discounts at night to sell the remaining food items at the counter. There were no discounts from Chateraise.
I wanted to spend this moment with my loved ones, however, they are not here in my new house. How nice if the person that I loved was sitting down with me at the new dining table and having dinner together. So, I decided to spend my night with Jesus and share the delicious and sweet food with Him.
The dessert was pretty delicious, not too creamy but a little bit sweeter than I expected. I would prefer the matcha flavour.
