今日の夕食は、パスタのラタトゥイユ風ソースでした。ニンニク、玉ねぎ、茄子、ズッキーニ、パプリカをじっくりとオリーブオイルで炒めたところに缶トマトを加えてしばらく煮込んだものですが、こちらの茄子はとても大きくて日本のものの2、3倍あり、使い切ってしまいたかったのでかなりな量が出来ました。今日必要な分だけ使って、後は冷凍。今日の分にはチョリソーを加えて少しチリオイルも加えてスパイシーにしました。
Today's dinner was pasta with Rataouille-like sauce. I sauteed garlic, onion, aubergine, courgette, pepper slowly in olive oil, then added tins of tomatoes and cooked it slowly for 15 minutes or so. Aubergines here are huge comparing to Japanese ones and I wanted to use a whole so I ended up making quite a large quantity, so froze what we don't need. I also added some chorizo and a little cihlli oil to the portion we used today to make it a little spicy.
陽が沈むのが早くなって、今日の日没は8時6分。昼間はそこそこ暖かいですが、夜は日によっては寒いくらいで先日は10度なんて日もありました。平均的には13度くらいみたいですし、来週は最高気温が24、5度まで上がるようでお天気も良さそう。
The days are getting shorter and shorter, today's sunset was 8:06pm. It's warm enough during the day but sometimes it gets quite cold at night, the other day it was as low as 10C! Usually it's still about 13C, though. It looks like we'll be having some good weather and the temperature will be higher again, up to 24C or 25C, which sounds lovely.
