Went to Shabu Sai at Westgate Basement 1 for Japanese Hotpot buffet dinner.
It has a comfortable and cosy environment, very nice for a cosy hotpot dinner with loved ones.
They provide tissue and you have a menu that you can look through and select either ala carte dishes or their hotpot buffet dinner.
We decided on the 2 soup bases. Tonkotsu and the tomato bases. Both were pretty good though their tomato base is slightly stronger than my preference.
Their fresh meat selection was good, with free choices of chicken, pork and beef. Our favourite was of course their sliced beef and we really enjoyed it though there was substantial fats on these meats.
There was a rather good selection of vegetables and other frozen products as well and we liked the bamboo minced meat paste.
In all, we had an enjoyable dining experience and the food selection and freshness of their ingredients were really en point.
We would definitely be back again, especially since their pricing was affordable and the selection is good enough to warrant the price tag.
