It ended up downpouring so we mad…  | By Elisa Y on May 14, 2023 | We booked another getaway house at the Connecticut location! It was an almost end of summer escape with the doggos. For the first night, we settled in and decided to check out the Tavern on the Hill. It ended up downpouring so we made the right call. We got some wings, taco salad, a bbq plate, and ended with some ice cream on the way back. The next day we made some breakfast in the stove top and then headed out on the paddleboards. We found a local area but wasn't sure if it's dog friendly. We drove over and the area had a nice beach launch area and is dog friendly so we'll have to bring them next time! For lunch we did some pizzas in the cast iron over the fire pit, the most delicious way to make pizza. We took the dogs for an adventure around the neighborhood and ended our night with a nice tomahawk. We slept in a bit the next morning, made a quick breakfast, and then hit the road.
