Today's Bible Reading- Ezekiel Chapters 25-27
September's Memory Verse- Acts 5:29
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 84°, sunny, no rain, winds from the northeast at speeds up to 7 miles per hour, and humidity is sitting at 93%.
What a beautiful morning here! Chilly, it's about 66° right now. About an hour ago it was in the 50s. I feel hopeful today, though.
We got a lot done in the bathroom this weekend. The partitions are in, the insulation is in, and half the ceiling is up! We also got a couple of wall pieces up yesterday. Pop returned to work today, so now we're back to what we can accomplish on weekends.
This weekend, Lord willing, we'll get the rest of the ceiling up, more wall up, lights and water lines ready, and possibly the shower base put in.
Dinner was decent yesterday. The pork chops were dry. That was a bummer. The meat was tender, though.
I bought blinky bulbs for my car on Saturday, got them home, took the front of the car apart to put them in. Side note: whoever designed the Ford Focus should be fired. To replace a light bulb in the front, I have to take the entire front grille off the car to get the headlights loose. There's also two bolts I have to loosen from the grille that are incredibly hard to reach, even with my small hands. I have the bruises to prove it. The tail lights are no better. I have to use a special socket to even reach those bolts!
Anyhoo. I take the front of the car off, pull the headlights loose, pull the blinky bulb out. I got the wrong bulb. My headlights are LED lights. My assumption was that the blinky bulbs were LED as well. I was wrong. They are standard bulbs. Okay. So, I put the car back together, and I'll have to take the new blinky bulbs back today and switch them out for regular bulbs. My goodness.
Supper tonight is a breakfast casserole. It has eggs, sausage, hash browns, peppers and onions in it. I'm looking forward to it, actually. This week, I'm hoping to make some banana pudding.
Other items that need taken care of today: ledgers, laundry, Mom needs insulin, and I'm sure other things will crop up for me to deal with.
Oh! My volume control on my remote stopped working, so I have to control my tv volume the old fashioned way now. I get up and press the buttons on the tv. It's okay, though. I only watch my tv at night, so the volume is set to about 9. I keep it low so it won't bother anyone. Sometimes 9 is too loud for me, so I turn it to 7.
Oh! I hurt my left thumb yesterday. I was finishing up dinner and went to reach into a drawer for something, and promptly sliced my thumb on the mandolin blade. The blade lock had somehow come undone and the blade was sticking up. Boo. So I have a nice gash in my thumb. I'll just add that to my growing list of wounds.
That's about all I have for today, peeps. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
