いつの間にか日が暮れるのがすっかり早くなってしまい、今日の日没の時間は７時８分、夕食の時間はもう暗い時間になってしまいました。そして夜になると急に寒くなるので、この数日は夜はリビングの暖炉（ガス）に火を入れています。今日は昨日までより暖かいので、大丈夫かも。
The sun set time has gone so late now, it was 19:08 today so by the time we have dinner it's already dark. I do like having longer days. Also it suddenly gets cold in the evening so we've been putting the fire on in the living room for the past three or four days. It feels warmer today, so maybe we don't need it today.
今日の夕食は、タイ風ビーフサラダにしました。この間ステーキをした時、前日に冷凍庫からステーキを２つ冷蔵庫に移していて、ステーキは１枚だけ焼いて夫と分けたので１枚が冷蔵庫に残ったままでした。真空パックにしているとは言え解凍してから長く置いておくのは良くないので早く食べなければと思いつつ、今日まで機会がなく、やっと今日焼いてタイ風ビーフサラダにしました。レシピは、香港で行っていたタイ料理のお教室で教えていただいたレシピですが、ミントを加えました。ハーブたっぷりが好み。美味しく出来ました。ビーフは食べ切れなかったので（４分の１くらい残っています）、残りは近いうちに何かに使おうと思います。
Today's dinner was Thai Beef Salad. When we had steak for dinner the other day, I moved 2 steaks from the freezer to the fridge on the day before but we decided to share one steak so the other one had been sitting in the fridge. Even though we shrink pack it we still shouldn't leave it too long after defrosting it so I've been wanting to use it but hadn't had a chance - so I used it and made Thai Beef Salad. The recipe is from the Thai cooking class I used to take in Hong Kong but I added mint. I love it with lots of herbs and it was very tasty. We couldn't eat all the beef and there is still about 1/4 left but I'm sure we can use it for something in the next couple of days.
