Well, that is a long title for a card, but I had no idea what to call it!
The good news, though, is that this card is just so easy to make, folds flat, yet opens to show a wonderful three dimensional card. Over the last week I have made six of these cards in quite different designs, so I will take you through what I used.
Let's start with Christmas! For this card, I designed the papers using NitWit Collections 'Nutcracker'. The great thing about digital download collections is the ability to resize the elements to fit whatever size your card is. Each face of the card is different, as you can see from the back view…
My next card is made using Lili of the Valley papers, Frozen Snowflakes (no longer available in a paper pad) for each of the four panels. The poinsettia is made from vellum, using Lisa Horton Crafts 3D Poinsettia embossing folder and die. The rest of the card is kept very simple with a small stamped sentiment and silver sequins.
Staying with my Christmas theme, this card is only 10.5 cm high as I used an offcut from a sheet of 12 x 12" card. Once again, the papers are from an old Lili of the Valley set of backing papers called Scandi Christmas. I cut the cheeky Pug from a sheet of printed images from Lili of the Valley and added a sentiment from Lisa Horton Crafts Festive Double Layered Sentiments Stamps and Outline Dies.
Let's now move to everyday/Birthday cards, with the first two using Craft Consortium, Ink Drops Candy papers which are fantastic quality and have the most wonderful, colourful marbling effect. For the topper element, I have used my favourite Lisa Horton Crafts Shabby Florals and Large Foliage dies. The outer, fancy die is one I have had for a number of years, from Craftwork Cards.
Last but by no means least is another wonderful collection from NitWits which you will have already seen on here, and that is Geraniums. The vast choice of paper designs and different elements in the NitWit collections means that you will never be short of different elements for your cards or projects.
