Core Restaurant, formerly a contemporary restaurant is now Core Korean Kitchen. Jeff and I enjoyed Core when we went for their tasting menu.

With the pandemic, beautifully plated menu is hard to translate in take out, so owner and chef Hyun Kim pivoted toward turning Core to a Korean restaurant, offering a traditional, comforting Korean menu.

This year, the restaurant added bubble tea to the offerings. I was recently invited to a tasting to try out their bubble tea offerings and Korean fried chicken.

Taro Milk Tea with tapioca ($5.50)

You can customize the sugar level and amount of ice, but if you don't customize, you'll get the standard regular level/amount.

The KFC is so good; it's crispy and saucy, but moist on the inside.

Core Bibimbap ($16.95) - rice, bulgogi beef, vegetables, egg and gochujang sauce

I ordered a bibimbap for extra food, just in case. It is one of the most jampacked bibimbap take out I've had.

Core is definitely now our go-to for KFC, and the fact that it is close by for us it a bonus.
