Honestly, Because I couldn't find anything else like it on the market!
Sure, there are Christmas Cookie books, and a few Christmas books with a handful of recipes and lots of Christmas decor photos...
But I struggled to find a holiday book that walked you through every part of holiday entertaining. I wanted something that offered everything from breakfast and brunch, to classic cookies, to show-stopping desserts, delightful cocktails, yummy snacks, gift worthy candy recipes, and main meals sure to please.
I also wanted something with enticing holiday imagery, tons of tips and tricks, and menu ideas that would easily help pull everything together!
So I slowly started dreaming up Home for the Holidays... a book that would serve as a guide to creating the most magical season ever! And at first, it was truly just that: a dream.
But slowly and surely, I started outlining my ideas and coming up with chapters and recipes and menus. I could see it all coming to life before my eyes... but there was still so far to go!
Then in July... I found out I was pregnant! And at first, I thought this dream project would have to wait for another time.
But my brain wouldn't let this idea go! Instead, I found myself thinking more than ever about holidays... about the recipes and traditions I wanted to share with my unborn child. About the memories I wanted to create!
And so I made the decision to not only move forward, but to bring on a team of professionals so we could pick up the pace and have this book ready for the 2022 holiday season!
