Hi friends, welcome back! I'm crossing another item off on my Christmas Bucket List 🙂 Jon and I started the holiday festivities early with an afternoon at Sippin Santa (aka Boilermaker ten months out of the year). The bar transforms into a tropical North Pole from early November until New Year's Day and serves holiday inspired drinks in festive glasses. I made a reservation, but they also have spots available to walk up or sit at the bar. I'd recommend making a reservation the closer it gets to Christmas because these pop-up bars become very popular. I was very ahead of the game, so we went mid-November in the afternoon, and it wasn't super crowded. I will say the tables are quite close together, so I'm glad we went when it wasn't busy.

We first ordered the Azul Navidad (tequila, mezcal, lime, cream of coconut, blue curacao, hazelnut liquor, and pineapple rum) and the Sippin Santa (aged demerara rum, amaro, lemon, orange, gingerbread mix).

Next round we got the Regifter (Martinique rhum Agricole, caramelized pineapple-garam masala syrup, cherry liqueur, lemon) and Christmas Eve of Destruction (overproof rum, nutmeg syrup, herbal liqueur, lime, aromatic bitters).

This may be one of the most festive menus I've ever seen. We also had a buffalo chicken tender sandwich, but it wasn't anything special. The fries however tasted delicious with an addicting cajun and sugar seasoning.

We had a lot of fun at Sippin Santa and I'd highly recommend stopping in to get a festive drink! They have locations all over the country as well, so maybe there's one in your area. How's your Christmas Bucket List coming along?

P.S. Look for us at the Rockefeller Tree lighting tonight! I somehow won tickets to watch the show from the ice rink and I'll be wearing a green hat with a brownish pom pom on top 🙂 We aren't supposed to use cell phones during the taping, but hopefully I can get some good pictures to share.
