We bet everyone who has watched Zindagi Naa Milegi Dobara has imagined going on a road trip to Spain with their friends. Well, Ritzzy aka Riccha has made it come true!
Smitten by the beauty of Spain and that never-ending longing to travel led Riccha to plan this much-awaited ZNMD-style trip with her bestie. She definitely can't get enough of her trips with friends, can she?
Anyhow, after nights of research on Google the girls finalized three cities — Barcelona, Seville and Madrid. However, not everything went as planned.
They almost missed the train when going to Delhi for a Visa application. Then their Delhi to Dubai flight got delayed and just reached in time to catch the Barcelona flight.
"We even missed our Barcelona guided tour and had to book another one. So, unlike my other trips, we were just late for everything this time, turning it into a heck of a nail-biting adventure!" exclaimed Ritzzy when narrating her "kaafi thrill kar lia" stories.
All three places they visited were wildly different from each other, allowing them to get a flavour of cosmopolitan as well as countryside vibes.
While Barcelona was a blend of modern architecture amidst the preservation of historical buildings, Seville had that small-town-like air about it.

Adding to their adventures, Ritzzy and her friend took a two-seater car and drove to Costa Brava for some beach fun!
"It was my first time driving a left-hand car and it was scary but so much fun. Full ZNMD feels, we took a few wrong turns and got super late. We also took a midway stop at Mcdonald's but were disappointed with crappy coffee and salad as the sole vegetarian option."

Apart from visiting ancient palaces, tasting multiple different wines and trying Ethiopian food were the highlights of their stay in Barcelona.

"Barcelona was just a perfect mix of contemporary yet ancient. It had history, it had great nightlife!" said Ritzzy, "on the other hand, Seville was very quiet and serene. Roaming around the town square, enjoying ourselves, the place had that slow-living vibe about it."

Interestingly, the day they reached Madrid was on the National Day of Spain and in Rittzy's words, the celebrations felt like some magical carnival — crowded streets, massive celebrations, firecrackers, parade, etc.
"It was just beautiful and so lively!"
Madrid as a city was more like a metro — all that hustle-bustle we would expect in a big city with people just going on about their lives. Anyone who knows Ritzzy personally knows her love for shopping and when in a cosmopolitan city, she just can't do without her "little" shopping.

Sunkissed? Nah! That's a wine glow!
Hold on! Before we conclude her travel chronicles, Ritzzy has penned down the 3 lesser known things about Spain that she wants you to know.
One, in Spain, all restaurants only entertain guests with prior reservations. So, please make sure to make one or else, you'll have to do persuade (Read: Beg) a lot. #BeenThereDoneThat
Two, sunrise and sunset, both, happen very late in Spain.
Three, language can be a huge barrier, especially in smaller cities where people don't even speak or understand English. In Seville, it took us forever to help the waiter understand that we wanted plain rice.
Which one shocked you the most? Do share with us in the comments below and do not forget to add any other lesser-known facts that you might know of.
