Today's Bible Reading- Deuteronomy Chapters 27-28.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 68°, cloudy, 80% chance of rain today, moderate air quality, and a light breeze coming in from the southwest. Humidity is at 92% currently.
I made it to the grocery store yesterday for the last half of my grocery shopping! My goodness. Things have gotten more expensive. Thankfully, some of the things I bought were stock-up items, so it'll be a while before I need them again.
I also have pretty much solidified my menu for next week as well. Tonight will be tacos because this coming Tuesday is Pi Day. I know. I'm a nerd, but I'm going to have a little fun in the midst of all this crazy. Saturday will be eating out day. Sunday will be kielbasa, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and peas. Monday will be chicken Pad Thai. Tuesday, Pi Day, will be shepherd's pie. Wednesday will be grocery day, therefore, burgers and fries.
I think I prefer grocery shopping on Wednesday. The flyers are fresh out, the people aren't as rude, there aren't as many people. Although. . . we are having an influx of people moving here from California, New Jersey and New York. If you're from there, I don't mean this against you at all, but every person I've met from there around here is very rude. Sometimes I want to smack the snot out of them. Very impatient drivers, too. If they made the move from these states, then they need to learn to adapt to our culture. Southern people aren't stupid, either. We process things. Just my little morning rant.
Anyhoo. It's raining this morning. I didn't realize we were going to get rain today. That's fine. The ground could use a good soak. Makes it easier to till up. Gracie woke me up at 5:50 this morning. She'd decided that I'd slept long enough and she was ready for nom noms. I made her wait a bit for that.
Plans for today include balancing ledgers, a bank run, and I may put Gracie's flea stuff on her. I may go for a walk, too, and I just remembered that I have yet to plant those seeds! Wow. I really need to get on that.
Speaking of gardening, I'm in a bit of a dilemma. The ants are still in love with my lemon trees, and we're expecting some temperature drops below freezing here. I'm not sure how to handle that. Normally, I'd just bring the lemon trees into the house, but with the ants, I'm not sure what to do now. Hmm. I think my little tomato plants may have gotten too cold the other night. They're not looking very healthy. I may end up planting more tomato seeds.
Another thing I could do today is get some ant bait for the yard. Sprinkle it on the various ant hills. I'll have to do that on a dry day, though. Either way, at some point, I have to cultivate the garden plots and get them ready for plants and seeds.
I also need to find Mom some new shoes. Hers have worn out, and now she's having some foot pain. I'll have to do some searching today.
That's all for now, folks. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends.
