今年もイギリスのブルーベルの季節がやって来ました！インスタやfacebookのフィードではこの１、２週間ブルーベルの写真が結構アップされていて、早く行かないと見逃してしまうかもと思っていましたが、今日行った「Arlington Bluebell Walk & Garden」のサイトにある週に２回の開花情報によると、今年はずっと寒くて雨も多かったので開花が遅れて先週やっと咲いてきたところということで、昨日ほぼ満開になったとありました。オープンは５月１０日までとあったので遅いかと思いましたが、オープンの時期は去年の末に決まっていたそうで、開花がすっかり遅れたけれどボランティアの関係で変更出来ないと書かれてあります。開花状況のアップデートのページはさっき気づいたので、たまたま今日行って、ラッキーでした。平日にしては随分人が多かったのは、みなさん、開花情報をチェックされていたのかもしれませんね。
It is the bluebell season in England now! I have seen many photos of bluebells on Instagram and Facebook feeds so I was getting a bit worried we might miss it, but according to the information update of bluebells that they upload twice a week on the site of "Arlington Blubell Walk & Garden", where we went to see bluebells today, the bluebells didn't start flowering until only last week because of the specially cold and wet spring this year and they are almost fully open yesterday. They are open only until the 10th this month, so I was worried we may be getting a bit late but apparently the opening and closing dates were set at the end of last year and they cannot change them because of the volunteers appointed. I hadn't noticed the update page until just now so we were very lucky that we went there today. It was surprisingly busy as a weekday so maybe others have been checking the information.
去年は違う場所に行ったのですが今ひとつだったので、今年は２年前に行ったときにとてもきれいだった「 Arlington Bluebell Walk & Garden」に行ったのですが、やはりここがこれまで見た中で一番綺麗。２年前の方が綺麗だった気はしますが、わたしの記憶は全くあてになりません（笑）。
We went to a different place (actually we went to 2 places last year because the 1st place was really not good) but weren't very impressed so we went back to "Arlington Bluebell Walk & Garden" that we went to 2 years ago. This place is the best of all the places we've seen so far. I have to say somehow I thought it was more impressing 2 years ago but my memory is not reliable at all, so I could well be wrong.
今日はお天気が良くて風が吹くとそれでも寒かったのですが、しばらく歩くと暑くなりました。お天気が良過ぎて写真はあまりよく撮れませんでしたが、お天気の良い中、ブラブラとお散歩するのはとても気持ちよかったです。
It was a beautiful day today. Although it felt chilly when it was blowy, after walking for a while I got warm. It was too sunny to get good photos but it was really lovely to walk in the woods in such lovely weather.
農場の土地なので、羊やヤギもいました。羊と山羊の赤ちゃんが可愛かったです。
The bluebell walk belongs to a farm so there were some sheep, lamb, goats and kids. Lamb and kids were so cute.
