Today's Bible Reading- Isaiah Chapters 39-42.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 79°, overcast, 90% chance of rain, good air quality, light smoke hazard, winds from the west southwest at 6 miles per hour, and humidity is sitting at 100%.
It's a rainy and cool morning this morning. Perfect day for ducks, and a welcome relief from the heat we've been having. It's raining right now, as a matter of fact. Gracie is chilling on the bed, protesting my attempt to make it. She loves the way the sheets feel.
I woke up about 30 minutes ago. Pop has already left for work. Supper tonight will be meatloaf, mashed potatoes and a veggie. What veggie I'm not sure of yet, but I'm leaning towards peas.
I think today is the first day of school around here. It's a lovely day for the first day back at school. I have a question, though. What happened to starting school the day after Labor Day and getting out around Memorial Day? Is it because they have so many days off now? I remember starting the day after Labor Day, we got Thanksgiving off, Christmas break was long; we were off until the first Monday of the New Year. If New Year's Day fell on a Monday, we just came back on Tuesday. We had President's Day off. We had Easter break, and then that was it.
Oh well. Enough ranting. I have fish to feed, a bed to make, time to spend with the Lord, and coffee to drink. Other than those things today, my goal is to look at the replacement parts for the toilet and see how easy it is to install. I also would like to go to the mall and just take a break for a minute or two. Mom had asked me to get her something last week and I didn't get to it. I could do that.
Intermittent fasting is going well, although we're having some hiccups with Pop coming in later. It'll balance out. I did find some smoothie packs at Aldi yesterday. One is banana, mango, pineapple and lemongrass, and the other pack has banana, mango, pineapple and ginger.
That's all for now, peeps. I need to put some modest pants on and go feed the fishies. Oh! I planted some things out in the aquaponics grow bed a few days ago. The cucumber has sprouted, one okra has sprouted, and the bell pepper has sprouted. The other okra I planted has mysteriously disappeared. I think maybe a bird grabbed the seed. That's okay. One okra plant is enough at the moment.
Okay. That's for sure it. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends.
