Bánh Mì Trứng Vietnamese Egg Bread Recipe
Ingredients
- A Vietnamese baguette, your favorite baguette, or a sandwich roll
- 2 free-range organic eggs
- 2/3 tsp Vietnamese seasoning (See below)
- 1 green onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp cooking oil or butter
- Chin-Su chili sauce or your favorite chili sauce
- 1 tbsp chopped cilantro
Preheat the oven, toaster, or air-fryer and toast the baguette for about 2 minutes.
Before we crack the eggs, we need to make Vietnamese Seasoning. Yes, they have their own seasoning to use in everyday cooking! It's super simple but definitely elevates the flavors!
Vietnamese Seasoning
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp msg (optional)
Just combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl. You can use it as salt to season anything in your kitchen!
