Wirye DIG is a Korean-Chinese restaurant. Standard menu. The "DIG" stands for "Dal In Gak (달인각)," which means "house (gak) of the master (dalin)."
Located 1.8 km from home, in the cluster of restaurants north of Nam Wirye Station.
The jjambbong is graded on GMTD's 4-point scale, applied to the dish's 3 primary components. The final score is the average of the 3 subscores.
BROTH . Okay, though unremarkable. Score: 2.5
NOODLES . Cooked to al dente. Otherwise standard, but with the green coloring that kinda creeps me out. Score: 2.5
Maybe the green provides some nutritional benefit.
TOPPINGS . Generous squid, shrimp, mussels. But, way way too much onion. Score: 2.0
At least one whole onion - although the photo doesn't seem to convey the full volume of onion, the pile got so high that I had to use a second dish.
CONCLUSION . Partly hit, mostly miss. Final: 2.17
First and (very likely) only visit.
