Positano – Boat Cruise

Lyssy In The City

Oct 2

Hi friends, welcome back to my Italy series! After two overcast days in Positano, we finally woke up to rays of sunshine and blue skies. It seemed like we had woken up in a totally different place. The water had the prettiest blue sparkle and was exactly like all the pictures of Positano I'd seen. I'd rushed us off to the ferry the previous day, so Jon was very happy when I said we could sit down and enjoy our breakfast.

We were especially glad to see the sun because we booked a private Amalfi Coast boat tour to celebrate our anniversary. We left right from the main beach in Positano and set off on a relaxing cruise in the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Views of Positano and Spiaggia Beach fading away.

These views were the same as the ferry ride to Amalfi, but it looked so different with the sun. Our driver also pointed out the main sights.

Arienzo Beach Club is a beautiful beach club complete with a boat shuttle to get there. It's an Instagrammers dream, but the basic package costs at least 300 euros for two people and includes chairs, umbrella, towels, one water bottle, one main entrée, and a welcome bottle of champagne. For that small price you'll be in the sixth or seventh row of beach chairs. Front row will set you back at least 600 euros. These prices are based on mid-September so I'd assume it's even pricier in peak season.

Il San Pietro di Positano is a five-star hotel with fabulous amenities and wonderful views of Positano. They have a pool, tennis court, spa, exclusive beach club, and complimentary boat trips.

The Grand Hotel Tritone, I can't imagine walking down all those stairs, but guests don't have to thanks to an elevator built into the rocks.

The Fiordo di Furore is a popular swimming area under this beautiful bridge.

There are a few grottos along the route that we pulled up close to.

As you can tell, I couldn't stop taking pictures. It was such a beautiful day and so relaxing out on the water!

My only complaint is that the ride went by too fast, I could've cruised all day long! If you're planning on taking a boat trip in Positano, I'd highly recommend booking with Positano Boats. We had such a great experience. They also have different sizes and tours depending on your needs. It was the perfect start to our anniversary!
