We will rank our preferences at the end of this article.  SS Pan Mee Restaurant in SS19 SS Pan Mee Restaurant is one of three popular pan mee spots located in SS19 Subang Jaya. We first visited Lian Heng in USJ1, which is said to have originated from a corner kopitiam here in SS19.  Since then, friends have recommended us to check out JingZhu and SS Pan Mee. SS Pan Mee in Subang  SS Pan Mee Restaurant occupies a whole shop lot and offers a variety of pan mee.  Compared to JingZhu, the space here is more comfortable with the tables not packed too close to each other.  We ordered our usual bowls of traditional pan mee soup and dry pan mee.  Pan Mee is just ok  Unfortunately, the pan mee here is our least favourite of the three. While the texture of the hand-pulled noodles were decent, we found the soup to be overly flavoured by the minced pork gravy. This is a matter of preference: we like our pan mee soup to be clear with a strong anchovy base. Hence, we didn't really prefer this bowl of pan mee.  Nevertheless, the portion was quite decent for the price.  We also found the dry pan mee to be average as it just lacked any umami depth beyond the soy sauce flavour. Nevertheless, the noodles texture was not bad as it was served al-dente and the ingredients were pretty generous. Summary All in, we ranked the three pan mee restaurants below in order of personal preference: 1. JingZhu Pan Mee - Flavourful anchovy-based broth, great noodles and slightly pork lard undertones in the dry noodles mix. JingZhu Pan Mee, Subang Jaya 2. Lian Heng Pan Mee - The most generous in terms of portion among the three. Noodles' texture is good but the dry version is very flat tasting. Lian Heng Pan Mee, Subang 3. SS Pan Mee Restaurant - We didn't enjoy the strong flavours of the minced meat sauce in the soup.  Do you have any other pan mee restaurants to recommend?
